The Catkin
The Catkin Collection is based on a garment that originated in Bali, Indonesia, The Island of the Gods. It was sewn and sold by the owner of a small local boutique to visiting tourists. Through a series of events and over a period of several years, I came to purchase the rights to it, and hired a renowned industry professional to revamp the pattern to improve the style and fit. After thorough testing, The Catkin pattern became the basis of every top and tunic in this collection.
All garments are loose-fitting and designed to drape on the body. Fabrics like knits, voile and challis will tend to flow more softly while linen, hemp and some cottons will have a crisper look.
